Lest We Forget opens this Friday!

PMRP’s spring show, Lest We Forget, opens this Friday! This show presents an original adventure featuring the World War II comic-book superhero War Nurse foiling Nazi schemes with her Commandos, daring women from the various Allied nations, along with two recreated episodes of the 1947 series Lest We Forget: The American Dream, on the timeless topic of the American values of tolerance, pluralism, and standing up against oppression. You can get tickets or make a seat reservation on our Tickets page! The six performances are April 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28, 2018, with two shows on Saturday the 21st, and a pay-what-you-can night on Thursday the 26th.

Cast of Lest We Forget announced

Congratulations to the cast and crew of PMRP’s spring show, Lest We Forget, featuring the adventures of War Nurse and her Commandos foiling Nazi plots during World War II, plus two episodes of the 1940s series Lest We Forget: The American Dream on the American values of tolerance, fair play, and standing up against injustice.

Come audition for our spring show

We are delighted to announce that we are looking for voice actors, Foley artists, and crew for our upcoming spring show, Lest We Forget. This will two short episodes from the postwar dramatizations by that name on the topics of tolerance, diversity, and standing up against oppression, as well as “War Nurse and Her Commandos”, an original script based on the World War II-era comic book character War Nurse, a mild-mannered war nurse by day who foils Nazi plots as War Nurse alongside her Commandos, women of many nations fighting fascism and nationalism. Auditions will be Monday, February 12th, and Tuesday, February 13th, 2017 at Responsible Grace Church in Davis Square, Somerville, and performances will be in late April. Tickets available for Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Dec. 1 and 2

In early December, we’ll be presenting our original adaptation of the 1964 Christmas B-movie, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, of UHF and MST3K fame, in which Martians kidnap Santa Claus (along with a couple of Earth children) to bring joy back to their lethargic children. This is a family-friendly event and for the matinée we will have some fun kids’ activities before the show.

Performances will be Friday, December 1, at 8:00pm; Saturday, December 2, at 2:00pm (with fun kids activities); and Saturday, December 2, at 8:00pm. You can either purchase tickets in advance or make seat reservations to pay at the door from our Tickets page. (Of course, walk-ins are also welcome!)

Audition slots open for Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

Audition slots are now open for our original adaptation of the B-movie classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians! We’re seeking voice actors and crew positions. Details and links to the audition signup form and further information are on our Auditions page. Auditions themselves will be on September 23 and 24 and signing up for a slot in advance is strongly recommended. (The performances will be on December 1 and 2.)

Audition slots open for our Gothic-inspired Halloween show

Audition slots are now open for our Gothic-inspired Halloween show, Tomes of Terror: Lenore! We’ll be presenting three original radio-drama adaptations: Edith Nesbit’s “Hurst of Hurstcote”, Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Premature Burial”, and Poe’s ”Hop Frog”. Besides voice actors we are looking for Foley (live sound-effects) performers and other crew positions. Auditions themselves will be on August 7 and 8 and signing up for a slot in advance is strongly recommended.

Have you ever wanted to create the sounds in a play? Perhaps you want to create the gunshots, horse hooves and window shatterings that abound in theater?
Well The Post-Meridian Radio Players are presenting a class on just that. Come by Responsible Grace Church on Saturday July 29th to find out if being a Sound Designer or a Foley artist is for you!

Lenore Scripts Picked! Directors wanted!

The Post-Meridian Radio Players are proud to announce the stories for Tomes of Terror: Lenore!

The show will feature:

- Edith Nesbit’s “Hurst of Hurstcove”, adapted by Liz Salazar
- Poe’s “The Premature Burial” adapted by Tegan Kehoe
- Poe’s “Hop Frog” adapted by Christian Krenek

The show will also feature a reading of the poem “Lenore”.
